We specialize in the assessment, diagnosis, and management of Temporomandibular Joint Disorders (TMD) and associated conditions (headaches, neck pain, tinnitus, etc). This includes assessment and treatment options for TMJ (the jaw), Hard Palate and Cranial Dynamics, Occlusion and Bite Issues, Airway Compromise and Apnea, and input on what (if any) dental or ortho intervention is best suited to your situation.
We are one of only a few offices in the country to offer non-dental, non-invasive diagnostic and treatment options for TMJ and it's associated symptoms and conditions. We work with adults, as well as babies and children (tongue tie and lip tie assessment, cranial facial and mouth development). Link to our main office website, StructuralMed.com
We offer the following:
1. Stand alone diagnosis and treatment options for TMJ, headaches, neck pain, and other musculoskeletal aches and pains using non-invasive and holistic methods.
2. Integrated cranial-dental co-management options where we work with a dentist to achieve the desired outcome. This includes option 1, as well as the names of dental practitioners who can aid in what we are trying to achieve.
3. We also offer Telehealth sessions for those not in the area. This includes full case reviews and case management in regards to which treatment path is most appropriate for you, and feedback on the pros and cons of various dental and orthodontic procedures for your specific case. The process for choosing the right path for you or your child can be overwhelming and it helps to have a third party that's impartial.

Our
Approach
Our office should be your first stop when experiencing TMJ pain or dysfunction, TMD, or to have your child assessed as to his/her cranial development. We take a non-invasive, holistic approach, thoroughly exploring ascending and descending factors that can be contributing to your condition.
After a thorough exam where we discuss the possible causes of your symptoms or dysfunction, we have a wide variety of noninvasive treatment methods at our disposal that are unlike anything else in the area.
Often times expensive dentistry and orthodontia are not necessary to obtain resolution of your TMJ symptoms or larger cranial dysfunction, and often make the issue worse if performed by those who don't take a holistic perspective. This is why we always recommend conservative and non-invasive options first.
However, if dental intervention is necessary we will clearly outline why, and if desired we can provide the names of some of the best cranial-friendly TMJ dentists in the area to help achieve the desired outcome. We will work with the dentist to ensure everyone's on the same page and moving towards a common goal.
