Page is functional but under construction!
Dr. Scoppa is a certified SOT craniopath that puts an emphasis on neurologic integration, increasing proprioception, and getting his patients out of sympathetic dominance (you can only heal when your nervous system is in parasympathetic). Structural integrity, symmetry, and optiml function are vital aspects of correcting any dysfunction in the body.
He has tools and techniques not found anywhere else in the northwest, and often sees difficult and complex cases, with many of his patients traveling great distances. Patients most commonly see him for the following conditions: TMJ and jaw problems, headaches, facial pain, neck pain, babies and children for cranial and bite assessments, dental/orthodontic diagnosis and plans (given numerous conflicting opinions by dentists and orthodontists), sports injuries, and for increased athletic performance. Learn more about his unique approach and/or techniques.

Relax and Recharge! In order for the body to heal in any capacity, one has to be out of a sympathetic tone, or "fight or flight" mode. Our unique blend of modalities helps to achieve parasympathetic balance and allow healing to occur.
The new clinic is almost ready! Dr. Scoppa will officially start seeing patients there Feb. 1st
A NEW service is going to be offered: Modality Sessions. Learn more.
Dr. Scoppa is certified in a number of techniques, including Sacro-Occipital Technique (SOT), Applied Kinesiology (AK), and Vector Point. He thinks holistically, taking into account numerous influences. No matter what a patient comes in with, his treatments involve the nervous system, proprioception, and integrating numerous systems that are potentially playing a role in whatever a patient is experiencing.
Although Dr. Scoppa sees patients for a number of different conditions, the majority of people tend to come to us for two main issues: Sports injuries and performance OR craniofacial pain and TMJ dysfunction.
For TMJ and Craniofacial Pain
Our office should be your first stop when experiencing TMJ pain or dysfunction, TMD, or to have your child assessed as to his/her cranial development. We take a non-invasive, holistic approach, thoroughly exploring ascending and descending factors that can be contributing to your condition.
Dr. Scoppa understands cranial growth and development, TMJ and ascending and descending patterns associated with TMJ, airway, and occlusal issues. He has attended more than thousand hours of dental and orthodontic courses and has managed thousands of cases of craniofacial pain and TMJ dysfunction. Because he isn't a dentist and isn't tied to any one philosophy, appliance, or ideology, he is in the perfect position to guide cases because he is an unbiased expert in his field.
Often times expensive dentistry and orthodontia are not necessary to obtain resolution of your TMJ symptoms or larger cranial dysfunction, and often make the issue worse if performed by those who don't take a holistic perspective. This is why we always recommend conservative and non-invasive options first.
However, if dental intervention is necessary we will clearly outline why, and if desired we can provide the names of some of the best cranial-friendly TMJ dentists in the area to help achieve the desired outcome. We will work with the dentist to ensure everyone's on the same page and moving towards a common goal. Learn more.
